Our open mat welcomes all students and members of the MMA/BJJ community, regardless of experience level, and is designed to provide a space for individual growth and personalized training. It's a time for students to explore areas they want to improve, whether it's perfecting their guard game in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, refining their striking combinations, or working on their wrestling takedowns. Coaches are typically present during Open Mat sessions to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide feedback, but the primary emphasis is on independent learning, self-reflection, and collaborative practice. Open Mat is also a great opportunity for students to train with different partners, helping them adapt to varying styles and improve their timing, strategy, and problem-solving skills.
